Abstract
The petite histoire is a representation of a genre of visual and written expression focused on the particular, on descriptive moments, anecdotes, essences of life as it is lived. My walk through a short narrative from the memorabilia left behind by my grandmother proves to be a thought-provoking experience worth sharing in a new capacity. This series of meditative and self-regulating behavioral projects help me to manage secondary post-traumatic stress suffered as a public servant in our American schools. Unexpected violence and emotional trauma transfer a heavy emotional weight for many who work for those they serve. Understanding and finding patterns for mitigating stress has a potential for common good to be shared throughout our communities.
